March/April Cohort

If you are an artist, you need to make your art. That's not an overstatement—it's a fact; if you stop doing your creative work, your quality of life is diminished. – Beth Pickens

Join me for a four-week creative exchange! The premise is simple: every day, you will respond to a creative prompt from me. You will share what you made with a partner, and briefly reflect on what you liked about your partner’s work. That’s it.'

The cohort runs March 16th-April1 4th. Our class will meet one time on Zoom on Sat. March 16th from 10-11 PST, and will be asynchronous for the remainder.

Creativity is a muscle; the more we use it, the stronger it gets. AND - it benefits from limitation, structure, existing in the world, and community. We all need systems to be accountable to our own creativity. Also, a crucial part of the art-making process is having an audience, however small. The goal of this class is to provide all of these things, for a limited time. Perhaps you will generate a seed of an idea during the next four weeks that you will nurture into something bigger. Perhaps you will need a low-stakes way to get back in touch with your own generative, expansive, creative self. The spirit of this class is generative, focused on cultivating inspiration, motivation and self-discipline.
